Color Coding for the Punch List Tool

Updated over a year ago

Overview
The SiteRise Punch List Tool now includes color coding for items based on their calculated status. This enhancement improves visual clarity and allows users to quickly identify the status of each item both in the list view and on the floorplan.

How It Works
The system calculates a status for each punch list item based on two factors:

  1. User-selected status: The status chosen by the user from the available options.

  2. SiteRise-calculated status: Automatically determined based on the item's due date and whether it is in a final state.

While the user-selected status appears as text in the interface, the SiteRise-calculated status determines the color coding.

Status Definitions and Colors
The system recognizes four calculated statuses:

  1. Overdue

    • Definition: The due date has passed, and the item is not in a final state.

    • Color: Red

  2. New

    • Definition: The item is in the default state (no action taken).

    • Color: Green

  3. In Progress

    • Definition: The item is neither in the default state, in a final state, nor overdue.

    • Color: Yellow

  4. Closed

    • Definition: The item is in a final state.

    • Color: Blue

Where to See Color Coding

  • List View: Each punch list item is accompanied by a color-coded indicator that reflects its calculated status.

  • Floorplan View: Pins on the floorplan are color-coded to match the calculated status of the corresponding items, providing a clear and immediate visual reference.
