RFIs

How to submit and track RFIs (Requests for Information) in SiteRise.

Purpose

This article explains how to submit and track RFIs (Requests for Information) in SiteRise.

Who Uses This

Project managers, general contractors, and architects clarifying design or scope questions.

How It Works

An RFI is a formal question submitted during construction when clarification is needed on plans, specs, or scope.

Submit a new RFI by describing the question, attaching relevant files or photos, and routing it to the appropriate responder (e.g., the architect).

Track RFI status — open, answered, closed — and view the full response history on each item.

Best Practices

  • Include as much detail and supporting documentation as possible when submitting an RFI.

  • Route RFIs to the correct responder immediately to avoid delays.

  • Track open RFIs regularly, especially any tied to Critical Path tasks.

Troubleshooting

If an RFI isn't getting a response, confirm it was routed to the correct person and they have access to view it.
