Locations

How Locations work in SiteRise and how they connect to your projects.

Purpose

This article explains how Locations work in SiteRise and how they relate to your projects.

Who Uses This

Project managers, administrators, and anyone managing multiple sites or properties.

How It Works

A Location in SiteRise represents a physical site or property associated with one or more projects. Locations help you organize and report on work across multiple sites.

Click into a Location to see its address, associated projects, and any site-specific details.

You can typically add a new Location from the main Locations page or directly when setting up a new project.

Best Practices

  • Keep location naming consistent (e.g., city/state or site number) so they're easy to search.

  • Add complete address and contact details up front — this feeds into reporting and mapping features.

  • Link every relevant project to its Location so portfolio-level reporting stays accurate.

Troubleshooting

If a Location isn't showing up in search or reporting, confirm it's correctly linked to the relevant project (see Projects).
