Companies

How Companies — internal teams, clients, and external partners — are managed in SiteRise.

Purpose

This article explains how Companies are managed in SiteRise, including internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Who Uses This

Administrators managing user access, and project managers coordinating with external partners.

How It Works

A Company in SiteRise represents any organization involved in a project — your own company, the client, architects, general contractors, or vendors.

Each Company profile can include contact information, associated users, and the projects they're linked to.

Administrators can add new Companies and assign users to them from the Administration area.

Best Practices

  • Keep one Company record per organization rather than creating duplicates for each project.

  • Assign a primary contact for each Company to streamline communication.

  • Review Company permissions regularly, especially for external partners (see External Partners).

Common Questions

Can a Company be linked to multiple projects? Yes — a Company like a general contractor may be associated with several active projects at once.

Troubleshooting

If a user can't see a project they should have access to, confirm their Company is correctly linked and their permissions are set (see Roles and Permissions).
