Purpose
This article covers how External Partners are added to and interact with projects in SiteRise.
Who Uses This
Administrators and project managers coordinating with architects, general contractors, and vendors.
How It Works
External Partners are users outside your organization — such as architects, general contractors, or vendors — given limited access to specific projects.
Invite an external partner by adding their email and assigning them to the relevant Company and permission level.
External partners typically see a restricted view of the project — limited to what's relevant to their role (see Permissions).
Best Practices
Only grant external partners access to the specific projects and areas they need.
Set clear expectations with partners about how they should use comments, files, and approvals.
Review external partner access periodically, especially after a project phase ends.
Troubleshooting
If an external partner can't see something they should, review their assigned permissions and Company link.
