Purpose
This article explains how Permissions control what different users can see and do in SiteRise.
Who Uses This
Administrators managing access, and anyone wanting to understand what they can/can't do based on their role.
How It Works
Permissions determine what a user can view or edit — from full internal access to restricted external partner access.
Permissions are typically tied to a user's Role and Company (see Roles and Companies), and can be customized per project.
Best Practices
Follow the principle of least privilege — grant only the access someone needs to do their job.
Review permissions whenever a team member's role changes or a project ends.
Use consistent permission templates across similar roles (e.g., all GCs get the same base access).
Troubleshooting
If a user can't access something they should, confirm their role and permissions are set correctly, and that they're linked to the right Company and project.
